Thanks to the publisher for letting me review an early copy of this book for the purposes of this blog tour. All opinions expressed are my own.
First off, this story is not just about two people falling in love. There are sisters, friends, a wayward teen, a group of party hearty senior citizens, a nutso chicken, and a skittish horse. There's a cool little town on the edge of rejuvenation that I would love to visit. There are several different conflicts between the various players, including a play on the old city mouse/country mouse tale. Discovering what makes the two main characters happy, besides each other, is a recurring theme. An insta-hate meet cute had me laughing, and the conclusion had me sighing. What else? Oh right, the pastries! (she says as she subtly wipes the drool from the corner of her mouth). In short, a delightful read I would recommend to any of my friends who enjoy a perfectly paced, swoony romance with an exceptional cast of characters.
